Tourism 1120 can prepare students in many different ways for future recreational or career focused purposes.
Recreational:
- Students will be exposed to many different adventure and ecotourism activities
- From whitewater rafting, to mountain climbing, to geocaching, students will explore the quickly growing list of activities popular among adventure tourists
- In true ecotourist fashion, students will practice "Leave No Trace" methods while attending their course-end camping trip
- Students will gain experience planning adventure and ecotourism activities and vacations
Career Focused:
- Students will be exposed to various careers related to adventure and ecotourism through their career profile assignment
